Blue Card Services — Blue Card (QLD)
Blue Card Services is the Queensland authority that issues and manages the Blue Card. This source verifies a worker's Queensland Blue Card against the Blue Card Services public online validation page.
What Oho needs
You need the worker's full name, card number with issue number (for example 1519921/2), and expiry date. Oho confirms the card is valid and that the details match.
Setup and credentials
None for verification. This is a public page, so there is no login to provide.
Linking is the exception — it signs in to the Blue Card Services Organisation Portal, so it needs that account. See below.
Linking
Queensland supports employer linkage, and Oho can establish it for you. Linking is separate from the verification above: it signs in to the Blue Card Services Organisation Portal with your organisation's own login and records you as an employer of the card holder.
Set it up on this source, then use Link new workers on its row in Verification Sources. It runs in batches — ten holders by default — and needs someone present to enter the two verification codes the portal sends at sign-in. See Link your QLD Blue Card holders.
A holder who is missing a card number, date of birth or surname can't be looked up, and a failed run changes nothing on anyone's record.
Good to know
Checks run in real time. Renewals don't update on their own, so a renewed card must be re-checked.
