PharmacyID — National Police Check
PharmacyID (PRM Group) is the second accredited provider Oho submits nationally coordinated police checks to, alongside NCC. Like NCC it lodges and obtains a check rather than looking up a card the worker already holds, and the result comes back as a police check on their profile.
You can have both providers configured at once. Each police-check source names its own provider, and you pick the source on the request — Oho routes the check to whichever one you chose.
What Oho needs
The worker's full name and email, and — depending on the reason type — their date of birth. There's no card number, because the check is being created rather than confirmed.
Setup and credentials
You don't enter a PharmacyID login. Oho submits to PRM through a service account the Oho platform manages, so there are no provider credentials in the wizard and nothing for you to rotate.
What you do supply is the pair PRM uses to identify your tenant for billing and reporting, both issued by your PRM account manager during onboarding:
- Office Code — a per-tenant identifier, for example
OHO1234. Sent on every check PRM receives. - Client Email — a per-tenant address that PRM pairs with the Office Code.
Both must match what PRM has registered for you. PRM has no endpoint to validate an Office Code, so a wrong one isn't caught during setup — it surfaces on the first check you submit.
You also choose an environment (a sandbox that makes no real submissions, or live), an industry or purpose, a default reason type, and the same decision rules NCC offers — whether a clear result is marked suitable automatically and how long a check stays valid.
Organisations
Unlike NCC, a PharmacyID source isn't scoped to organisations. One Office Code covers the tenant, so there's no organisation list to pick and no per-organisation account to connect.
The applicant journey
PharmacyID sources choose how the person being checked gets their link:
- PharmacyID portal (the default) — PharmacyID emails them directly.
- Oho-managed link — PharmacyID doesn't email; Oho surfaces the link through its own capture flow for you to pass on.
Oho doesn't send applicant emails for this yet, so choose PharmacyID portal if you need the person emailed automatically. Either way they complete the check on PharmacyID's own pages.
Linking
Not applicable. There's no employer linkage recorded against the check.
Good to know
- A submitted check shows a PID Ref on the queue card — PharmacyID's reference, the equivalent of NCC's NCC ID. The two are not interchangeable, and a check only ever carries one of them.
- Oho polls PharmacyID for progress on the schedule you set; there's no inbound callback.
