Find and Manage Applicants

All Applicants lists every applicant in the organisations you can see, sorted by name. An applicant is someone you're still screening, before they start. Use this page to find an applicant, follow up their screening, and turn them into a worker when you take them on.

What you'll end up with

The applicants you're after in one list, ready to open, update or bring on as workers.

Step 1: Open All Applicants

In the left menu under Recruit, click All Applicants. It opens on Current applicants. The count beside the filters shows how many match.

Step 2: Choose the list and narrow it

  • Current, Converted to worker or Deleted: applicants still being screened, applicants who've been taken on as workers, or applicants who've been deleted.
  • Search by name: an applicant's name.
  • My applicants: only applicants you're the recruiter for. Oho remembers this choice, and it's shared with Recruitment Check Requests and Applicant Police Checks.

Step 3: Read a row

  • The applicant's name opens their profile. The Email column shows their email address.
  • A Converted chip means the applicant became a worker. A Deleted chip marks a deleted applicant.

Step 4: Act on an applicant

  • Add Applicant, at the top right, adds one by hand. Most applicants arrive when you send a recruitment check.
  • The ⋮ menu on a row has Edit applicant, Convert to worker and Delete applicant. For an applicant who's already a worker, View worker profile opens the worker they became.
  • Convert to worker copies the applicant's screening records onto a worker, either a new worker or one who already exists (for a rehire, say). The applicant isn't removed: the records appear on both profiles, and the applicant moves to Converted to worker.
  • In the Deleted list, Restore applicant brings one back.

Applicant status

An applicant's screening status is one of:

  • Active: still being screened.
  • Cleared: every credential check passed.
  • Failed: one or more credential checks failed.
  • Withdrawn: taken out of screening.
