Employment Hero

Import your workers, their job history, and their certifications from Employment Hero, the HR and payroll platform. Connecting Employment Hero keeps your Oho worker list in step with your HR system of record, so people don't have to be added in two places.

What it imports​

  • Workers — names, contact details, worker status (active or inactive), organisation details, and manager relationships.
  • Job history — the current role from the employee record, enriched and extended with past roles from Employment Hero's employment history.
  • Certifications — Employment Hero certifications (for example a Working with Children Check or First Aid certificate) map to Oho credential types so they can be checked against the register. You choose which certification names map to which credential types during setup; unmapped certifications are skipped and reported.
  • Passports (optional) — from Employment Hero's work eligibility record, mapped by issuing country. Useful for routing non-Australian passports to a VEVO check.

What you'll need​

An API application registered in Employment Hero, which Oho connects to over OAuth. Oho connects with:

  • The application's Client ID and Client Secret.
  • A Refresh token, generated when you authorise the connection.

Because this is an OAuth connection, part of setup happens in Employment Hero: you register Oho's callback URL against the application before authorising it. There's no file to manage — Oho connects directly to the Employment Hero API. See Get your auth details.

How it runs​

Oho syncs from Employment Hero on the schedule you set, so new starters, role changes, and terminations in Employment Hero flow through to Oho on their own.
