Xero

Beta

The Xero connector is in Beta. It's ready to use, and we're continuing to refine it as more customers connect their accounts.

Import your workers and their current job from Xero, the accounting and payroll platform. Connecting Xero keeps your Oho worker list in step with your payroll system of record, so people don't have to be added in two places.

What it imports

Workers and their current job from Xero Payroll, along with worker status (active or terminated) and organisation details where your payroll region provides them. The detail available varies by region — the Australian, UK, and New Zealand payrolls each expose slightly different fields.

What you'll need

Nothing to copy by hand — Xero uses the Authorise pattern. When you start the integration you click Connect, sign in to Xero, and approve the access Oho asks for. During sign-in you also choose which Xero organisation to connect, since one login can hold several.

You'll need to authorise as someone with the Payroll admin permission on that organisation, and Payroll must be enabled for it. See Get your auth details → Authorise with OAuth.

How it runs

Oho syncs from Xero on the schedule you set, so new starters, role changes, and terminations in Xero flow through to Oho on their own. Because you signed in on Xero's own page, Oho never sees your password and keeps syncing without asking you to sign in again.

Oho connects one Xero organisation per connection. To bring in more than one, add a connection for each.
